Growing up, all throughout your life, you hear “do whatever you can because one day you might not get the chance to do so.” YOLO. You only live once. Living day by day. Doing the most while you can. Taking every chance and opportunity like it is the last. Why not take it while it is there? Nancy Yicius stated that she was taught to live the life she was given, with no regrets. You never know what tomorrow could bring. Every day you are taking a chance to either do something or not. That is your own choice and decision. Yicius strongly believed in taking chances. She stated how she was her cities first licensed female pilot. Raised three girls. And helped her dad build her retirement house. Day after day you may begin to think that you are too busy for your life. One day you might not have that chance and opportunity so you mine as well take that chance now. YOLO.

I love the tenacity and resilience of the person in this article. It seems less like she was taking a true risk and more like she was believing in her dreams. A motivated person finds a way to do what might seem impossible to others.

I can relate strongly to this post. There are so many people around you constantly telling you to either take risks or stay safe. But if you don’t take risks then you will always sit around thinking “what if?” So it’s better to try and take a chance rather than sit around not knowing.

I honestly love the idea of this. YOLO is such a commonly used phrase but this article helps us to realize that everyday you are given choices, so make the most of them and do what makes you happy versus doing what others think is appropriate, I love that she was the first licensed female pilot in her city. I love that she went against the norm and proved so many people wrong.

These types of posts are very inspirational to me because for the longest time, I was so afraid of taking chances. More people need to realize you can’t take any breath for granted and use “ill do it tomorrow” as excuses to not take advantage of every opportunity to do something they love. You never know, today could be your last day. Make this the year of “yes”.

I love the term YOLO. It can mean a lot in so many ways. I hate the feeling of wishing that I did something. With the motto of YOLO, it really encourages you to go out and do things you wouldn’t always do. Great motivation.

Love your blog! I feel like we are sending out the same message, but YOLO is cooler. I agree with you 100 percent. People only live this life once, so make the best out of it and do what makes you happy. Good Job.
