Twitter. Facebook. Instagram. Snapchat. All are ways of staying connected. If there was one idea that I took away from the guest speakers today, that was to stay connected. All the social media sites that I listed above are all great ways to stay connected and get to know more people.Especially when you are interviewing for a job one day.
If you think about it, being a “people pleaser” and connector is extremely important skill to have when going in the work field.
INTERNSHIPS are a huge click into the job force. Steve Clark, a gentleman that has worked and interned at Channel 15 news and now is a sports writer for the town of Huntington stated that, getting an internship is the best idea that you can do. He simply just e-mailed one of the sports management team members and said “Hey can I come and intern with you guys?”
Sounds pretty easy, right?
Anything is possible when it comes to showing that you are willing to saying connected and finding the right job out there for yourself. Everyone is different. Staying connected and knowing the right people in life is something that can be a huge benefit for you down the road if you just but some time and dedication into what you are doing.
